REITs vs Stocks daily update – September 14, 2021

After the stock had slight gains on Monday from severe losses last week, it continued with another day of losses. The S&P finishes lower and worries about the rising inflation stresses the market. (article)

How this affects our $1000 investment in Wealthfront –today we lost all of our gains in stocks, the Wealthfront funds now at $1,000.73 with a daily loss of $5.94. REITs however gained 11 cents. REITs not only win today, but have kept it gains, Fundrise balance at $1006.21 in total.

TLDR; What’s this all about? I invested $1000 in both REITs (Real Estate Investment Trust) and the Stock Market, and now it’s a challenge to seeing which one will perform better in the next 5 years. You can read the start here.
